Local Activist Wins Prestigious Environmental Award

Anne Pearson, Director of the Edgewater-based Alliance for Sustainable Communities recently received this year's Ellen Fraites Wagner Award from the Chesapeake Bay Trust. The award honors those who have "have devoted more than 30 hours each week of their own time and brought in others in their commitment to make a difference in restoring the Bay watershed."
